Your business must be doing gangbusters during this COVID19 pandemic, because it was obvious to me you don't need my business. Earlier today, 6/24/2020, Dan - your rep at customer services was so misinformed it was pitiful. That's ok, we are returning your product and going back to Brook Brothers - their staff doesn't give us the run around or misinformation.
Twice I've now had to return a pair of dress shoes I bought online from them. The first pair had two different color shoes in the box, after returning those, I now get the replacement pair which shows scuff marks all over the heel as well as wearing in the upper shoe area. Getting my refund and never again will I even buy a tie from JAB.

I've been looking for a certain hue of a brown suit for my father about 2 1/2 years and recently found the right color on the Joseph A Banks website. On Tuesday, June 15,2021, I made a purchase after receiving an email concerning the Father's Day sale, all of my information was input correctly yet I noticed that once I clicked the complete purchase link, I did not immediately receive a confirmation email and thinking that they may be busy I waited an hour, no email therefore I waited till the next day no email. I began reaching out the company, the way was by text is what I initially noticed, I was linked to an agent which is very informal and it takes a long time to work through issues before you actually begin in conversation and after you have actually began as you may leave out something or not enough information may be relayed to fully solve your problem. The initial agent could not figure out why my order had been canceled all they could say was that there was a billing discrepancy. I call the bank while in text mode with the merchant to find out if there were any errors on there or my end, they replied no, Conversation ends with both parties yet I wasn't satisfied and sent a text back to the merchant, new agent yes, started the process of the conversation all over again and they could not find what the issue was therefore I asked for a telephone number and after waiting 25 minutes I finally got a live person on the phone. The individual said to me that the only thing they could see that might be wrong with the information is that I did not capitalize one letter in my billing address and offered to retake the order, therefore they stayed on the phone with me and I placed the order reluctantly once again because at this point the bank had already transferred funds to Joseph A Banks and I am now waiting for those funds to be returned to my account, mind you the merchant is saying they have not received the funds (how they know that in their particular area I do not know) and that the funds would be returned to my account within 3 to 5 business days after the date of cancellation (they had no problem canceling the order immediately, why can't they release my funds immediately) as I have been familiar with my bank if the funds have not been retrieved within 24 hours the bank releases the funds back to my account? Today is June 17 and I am now waiting for both sets of funds almost $500 to be returned to my account because the second order in which I placed over the phone with a live agent has also been canceled within the same day it was placed and now I'm being told it's because my billing address is tied to my PO Box something that has been in place more than 10 years, mind you I have purchased from this merchant several times, I have purchased my own clothing from other countries and state wide and have never had a problem. I am in and out of town at times, I prefer all my mail going to my PO Box that it is not just sitting unattended. I just had a long talk with my bank before this review I'm currently writing, once again they went over the information and everything is in tact concerning the two purchases in which I am not getting so if I can't find the suit I'd like for my father to have by tomorrow or Saturday morning I'll just have to continue looking. Two purchases canceled in two consecutive days! I am not understanding what the issue is. Today as I talked with one of the merchants staff I was told that I could go into the store and make the purchase there and they would ship the item to me overnight, well I asked on yesterday since it was getting so close to the weekend if the item could be shipped over night and they told me that they offer rushed shipping which is featured on their website but it would not be an overnight deal, a couple of days at the least and they couldn't guarantee at this point that I would receive it Saturday, June 19, I believe today I was talking to a different agent but why doesn't everybody know the same information? I still went ahead and placed that second order but had they told me, if it was true that instead of placing the second order over the phone that I could go into the store and place the order and have the item shipped overnight I would have immediately gotten up and done so. I only learned about this today and I am not sure if it is so also the agent told me that they do not recommend this way of making a purchase because it may be an inconvenience to the individual to go to the store, well that's my decision to make at least offer it to me, for those who may not believe this review is real, every text message that I received within the conversation I saved to refer back to. What has happened to communication skills, what has happened to work ethics, when I was working, we were trained to go the extra mile and even if we could not resolve the problem we could at least note red flags and bring it to the attention to our supervisor. I said to the agent, I cannot ...
My husband purchased a new suit for my son (16 years old at the time)
that cost about $150. I expressed concern because I knew my son would grow and felt that the suit was too expensive for a growing teen. The salesperson informed my husband that his suit could be altered at anytime for free. It is now a year and half later and the suit was worn once for a couple hours and needs to be altered. The glen mills pa store closed so my husband called the corporate office. They informed him that this must have been a local store policy and they will not honor it. My son is graduating this year and I am telling his friends and their families to stay far away from Joseph A Banks.
I made a return that was received back(well within 180 days) refund period. The trouble is that they didn't complete the refund for 3 weeks after receiving the return. In that period the item price was dropped for promo by $16 x 2. So they finally refunded me minus the $32.00 ripoff. Never, ever will I shop with this company.I know that the pandemic has hurt everybodys' business and sometimes desperate measures are taken under desperate circumstance, but their must be more ethical standards than this flim-flamery
They accepted a return of an expensive cashmere sweater that I had purchase over a year ago!
It had developed a few small holes in the fabric. I was given a replacement.
Very happy that they stood by their merchandise.

The 4413 Kingston Pike store has very unprofessional clerks attending to their tasks. On 1-15-21 I made four purchases, three sweaters and one shirt (or so I thought). The inventory of the store was such that the clerk had to order a shirt and two sweaters for delivery. I was told delivery would be within five business days. On day eight, it had not arrived. The clerk claimed it had been delivered. It had not. We live in a very secure neighborhood, and no one breached the property on the day it was reported to have been delivered. It took an unreasonable amount of time to locate the transaction. The conversation I had with both clerks over delivery was very unprofessional. It was reordered. We discussed the two sweaters and the shirt. I received the delivery of two sweaters. No shirt. I called yesterday about the shirt. Promised to call back same day. No response. I called again today. The shirt had not been sold. The clerk apparently did not ring up that transaction. He denied even recalling selling the shirt, but in the earlier conversation he recalled selling the shirt. Today, he says he never recalled selling me any shirt. He got mad and said he resented being called out on the matter. I reminded him of the entire conversation at the time of the sale regarding the purple shirt and the conversation we had over the lost shipment. He got mad and was upset that I called him out on the matter. I told him his conduct would cause corporate problems if they were aware of his unprofessional attitude. He never made any suggestion to remedy the sale of the particular item we believed was part of the transaction. I did not care to pay for the shirt that was inadvertently omitted from the original transaction. These two clerks are very difficult to have a meaningful conversation with over their blunders. The older man ignores the requests and passes it off to the younger man. That young man is not trained to contend with issues and his frustrations overcome his judgment. He becomes resentful and complains about being complained about. Stay away from these guys. The former manager was nice, accommodating, and very helpful. But he retired. If you deal with these new guys, double and triple check their work. They are not the representatives from JOS. A. BANKS clothiers that I have had pleasurable experiences in the past. The professionalism and customer relationships are currently subpar in my experience with these two clerks. I frankly believe customer relations and problem solving with these guys are beyond any training they have experienced. Thank you.
I was served by Arron and Tafari today at the North Point location, and to say they were above and beyond is an understatement.
While Arron ensured that the suit I had purchased was excellently tailored, and it was, Tafari determined that I could receive a full exchange of three jackets that by many turns of fate had continued being sent from the warehouse in the wrong size. Arron made certain that two of them were replaced by exact matches, and he offered choices for the one that could not be matched in my size. What I ended up with was an even better looking piece than the original.
I've shopped at Jos.A. Bank and Men's Warehouse for many years and cannot remember ever having less than wonderful service, but to say that today the service and courtesy went beyond would be not be enough.
It's this type of experience and the quality of merchandise that keep me a loyal customer. Thank you!
For years, when I could afford to spend a little more, I would buy something special for myself from Joseph Banks. Something a little styler, better made. For the last two or three years I’ve been burned on their products. Dress shirts, which was once their specialty, are junk—harsh uncomfortable material that when washed will shrink at least one size, sometimes two, and occasionally 3 sizes. This sweater i just splurged on is the final time they will get to dump the junk they are selling on me. It was beautiful—until I washed it, and the beautiful blue is now a dull washed out hazy color. It shrunk so much in that first washing that I can can barely squeeze into it. It shrunk so much it’s misshapen. Their products these days are equal to the worst of Walmart’s. Never, never again. They deserve Togo out of business.
This company's email list is trash.....their "sales" last minutes and not worth it. They never have enough inventory. Always run out and lol.....not that many people want to buy jos a bank. Heck even apple can keep a good amount of inventory. I get it's items you're trying to sell....it's not even worth putting on sale. I cleared my cart and unsubscribed. When I feel like buying something I'll Google. There's better clothes on the market. No longer buying from them. Would've bought note often if they had more inventory or met the demands. Just done with it all.
I wish there is less than one star to give
Poor Quality and poor customer service
After second time wear their product there is too much lint on it and looks very poor quality and I tried another one is the same after second use
The brands I use is Traveler Sweater and 1905 Collection.
Moreover I thought the customer service will be very caring about customer experience but I was wrong they don't care.
I do not recommend that product to anyone it is waste money
I wish I could give zero stars. I must have placed 10-15 orders over the last year or so and like clockwork the next day I get an email that the order was canceled. When I call (waiting 20 -25 minutes on hold) they give the same lie of an answer saying the shipping and billing address don't match. Of course, they do I say, so I ask to place the order over the phone and they say it's out of stock.
Why do I keep on ordering you ask? Because they have great sale prices and I always think that maybe this time my order will go though.
Years ago, I used to buy most of my suits and sport coats from JAB. Very good quality, and prices were in alignment with other then current mens' stores.
In the last couple years, I have bought a suit ($79), shirts, and ties, with no real problems. If you limit yourself to ONLY buying their very cheap clearance items, good deals can be gotten. However, quality has really gone downhill.
A month ago, I ordered two clearance items, a wool driving cap, and a scarf. A total of $10 for both items. Shipping is free for "Bank" members. Cap, although ordered as XL, ticketed as XL, was a S. Couldn't get it on my head, and came smashed. Gave the cap to my 10 year old nephew, return postage was more than cost. Scarf was synthetic junk, ticketed at $49.95.
I'd never order anything from JAB that wasn't ridiculously cheap, like $69.95 suits, $49 sport coats, and the like. To order $1K suits is insanity.
